Just looking at the flowers, it would take a real expert to tell at sight which are which. I only know because there are tags on the plants - assuming they were labelled correctly in the fist place!
Lower flowers are from Gulf Coast, upper one from Biloxi. Can't exactly compare as they are (or seem to be) at different stages of development.
Far from thinking that the fluting meant something to do with identity, it looks as though all the immature flowers are fluted.
Gulf Coast flowers and fruit.
The more open, upright appearance of Gulf Coast:
Two of my three Gulf Coasts - none are in a good possy to get a clear pic of how they really look.
Sharpe Blue on left, Biloxi on right. Tell them apart!
Got the leaves as close as I could. Left is Gulf Coast, slightly greener and narrower leaf than Sharpe Blue on the right.
Without the labels, I would not make much sense from these pix. So far, no plant has suckered.
Thanks for your pix Elaine ~ You have a lot of 'blue' blueberries already!!
I'm thinking mine maybe Gulf Coast :)
