Growing local

I have been thinking about getting some clumping bamboo for awhile...

Bamboo Land is a well established bamboo, ginger and heliconia specialised nursery featuring a collection of the world's finest non-invasive bamboos. All varieties (including gingers and heliconias) are growing for display on our 40 acre property with 10 acres of landscaped bamboo parklands, allowing customers, enthusiasts and general public to view the mature clumps.

The display gardens form the basis of the Bamboo Land concept, with the idea being that the gardens together with expert advice from on-site staff, ensure customers get the right species for their situation.

Bamboo Land caters for all customers, whether it be 1 or 2 plants for the suburban gardener, advanced plants for the esteemed landscaper, or bulk quantities for the commercial scale farmer. Also, don't let geographical separation leave you disappointed, as we can arrange delivery to anywhere in Australia (see Delivery) and even worldwide.

If you've already been to Bamboo Land, then we hope you find this site usefull for further information on your new purchases, or as a resource of information before your next visit. If you haven't yet visited Bamboo Land, then we hope that you may be inspired to do so.

In the 'Catalogue' tab above you will find our complete price lists of all stocked bamboo, ginger and heliconia varieties. Under the 'Information' tab you will find general information like how to grow and care for your plants, information for commercial growers and landscapers and treatment methods. We also welcome any feedback so please feel free to comment in our 'Guestbook' with your thoughts and experience of Bamboo Land.

Finally, from the Bamboo Land team, we hope to see you soon and that your experience has been a positive one.

Happy growing!

I haven't seen bamboo land before...nice site ~ have visited Bamboo down under near Jacobs Well and they have a very nice bamboo garden..

I got two ALPHONSE KARR and one Fern leaf from recently, one of the Alphonse Karr died and one hasn't grown much, I think it's coz they are in a position where they don't get watered much at all if any... The fern leaf's is in a pot next to the deck which gets more water and leafing up. It'd be probably two years before I can get any canes from them...
"Watering - Following the planting of bamboo, it is crucial that they be well watered for the first month or two, by this we mean a good deep soaking every couple of days. " Quoted from bambooland website, no wonder one of mine died ^^"
