The silly name is an invention of my daughters who brought this recipe back from a trip to Canada. These things are truly addictive and delicious:

Rashers of eye bacon (I bought a bulk-pack of Hans from the cold-section and sliced each length-ways to make 2 strips)
Maple syrup
Dijon Mustard
BBQ or Steak Sauce
Canned baby potatoes
Canned water chestnuts
  1. In a jug mix a generous glug of maple syrup, a good scoop of mustard and a good splash of BBQ sauce, mix together
  2. Pour half of the mix into the bottom of a baking dish
  3. Slice the baby potatoes into bite-sized pieces (most were into thirds)
  4. Wrap once piece of bacon around a piece of potato or 2-3 slices of chestnuts, secure with a toothpick
  5. Place them into the baking dish on top of the sauce-mix
  6. Pour the remaining sauce over the nom-noms once you've filled the tray
  7. Cover and place in fridge for 2-3 hrs (if there's time)
  8. Cook uncovered in 200 degree oven for around 1/2 hour or until the bacon is cooked - bast every 15 minutes
EAT!!! :) best hot and still just as good the next day.
