Saturday 9 May, 10.30 - 11.30am at Capalaba Library

Did you know that food and garden waste make up more than 50% of an average household's waste each week? Come along to a free talk and discover how you can convert this waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden, and save it from going to landfill.

The RedWaste Education Office will be on hand to offer advice and answer all your questions about organic waste management and greenwaste in the Redlands. Take home a free Redlands recycling pack!

So glad to see this event posted. Bokashi is a neglected pursuit and such great 'stuff' for the garden.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
