About the Festival
Set amongst the backdrop of the beautifully tranquil Redcliffe Botanic Gardens, What's Cooking in the Gardens? is a celebration of food, lifestyle and sustainability, festival-goers will enjoy vibrant displays and demonstrations as this normally secluded haven transforms into a world of 'green' fun.
Gardening and cooking gurus galore will be on hand to share their collective years of wisdom on all things eco-botanical. Special guest chef Matthew Evans from SBS series Gourmet Farmer will be sharing his knowledge of free range farming and recipes from his extensive repertoire of books, as well as recent reality TV culinary sensations Rob and Dave who will be cooking up a storm.
There will be wonderful interactive workshops for all ages, demonstrations and displays to learn more about herbs, natural products, Yoga and so much more, or simply wander through the paths off market stalls, gourmet food and wine stalls filled with delicious treats and handmade goodies.
What's Cooking in the Gardens? is the festival to unleash your inner 'foodie', get active and learn more about how to make your life more sustainable.

I hope it's good. I'm going to be volunteering this year.
Not been to the website this year; in previous years they ran a free shuttle bus from free parking at Redcliffe Showgrounds. Or there's a bus within a block from the DBay Shopping Centre. Parking in the street is keenly contested.
It's a great day and worth the effort!
