What is so good about weeds? Turns out, quite a lot! Many of our common garden weeds are not only edible but also highly nutritious or have useful medicinal properties, others are great for improving soil quality, making great compost, some are just plain fun.
This workshop will explore the many benefits and uses for a huge swag of common "weeds" and why we might actually want them around.
For those that we decide we don't want around, we will look at safe and non-toxic weed control methods, and how to discourage weeds from making your garden home to ensure weeding is no longer a chore to dread.
You are welcome to bring along a weed from your garden that you would like to know more about!
This 2 hour workshop is a really fun way to learn a lot about the surprising value of weeds.
    Details:
Cost $45 including afternoon tea and a free (non-weed!) plant from June's Home Grown Plants

Location: 49 Arras St Yeronga, in Kate's subtropical cottage garden

Bookings essential as numbers are limited. To book call or text on 0448 460 037, or email thegardenerswall@westnet.com.au

I think the $45 - $0 thing is a typo in the original listing. I could remove it but prefer not to go changing things. Might stuff something important up :)

Send Kate a DM Lissa or ring her mobile. I doubt Kate reads BLF very often. What does $45 - $0 mean - it's not clear to me.

Will do :)

That's good on both fronts Che :)

If you get the chance you might like to provide some feedback here on the workshop.

Thanks Lissa, I just txt and let Kate know I'd like to be there.  Also said I heard about it from this group.

Good to hear Elaine. It would be good if Kate could list these on BLF when they occur.

Che - I have added a bit at the bottom about Bookings being essential. Please read and respond to Kate if you wish to attend. Thank you.

Kate joined BLF last year. I knew her when in another lifetime, I lived a couple of streets away and we were both in Brisbane LETS. She is well versed in the topic and a good communicator. Recommended.
