Event Description

Learn the fundamentals of vegetable garden bed design in the food garden beds of the presenter, Peter Kearney. Whatever vegetable garden bed space you have, the principles you will learn and their practical application will be useful to: save you money on setup, create greater potential for healthy soil and plants and improve the success of your vegetable growing with organic methods.

The presenter is Peter Kearney, an experienced organic and biodynamic gardener and educator. The course will be held in his vegetable garden beds in Wights Mountain. 

Workshop fee of $45 includes: (1) Great tasting afternoon tea, (2) Written training material, and (3) connecting to friendly people of like mind whilst getting your hands dirty.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
