Mark will be speaking on and demonstrating the basic care, maintenance and restoration of commonly used garden tools.
This workshop will include tips on keeping handles and blades in good condition; sharpening and adjusting cutting edges on various tools, as well as minor repairs that will extend the life of your tools
Hand tools only will be covered at this presentation – no electric or petrol driven tools.
There is a full program of FREE workshops happening at the Gardens every second Saturday, as part of our Community Partnership under the ‘Living Smart’ Programme with Sunshine Coast Council.
All workshops commence at 9.30 am (unless otherwise indicated) and go for approx 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
These FREE workshops are open to everyone in the community, not just members and volunteers at the Gardens and there is no need to book a place - unless otherwise indicated for that particular workshop. It is advisable to bring along a notepad and pen for taking notes, as well as a hat, sunscreen and your water bottle.
