Drop in and learn how you can make a difference by living sustainably, every Sunday at Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre. The Beeswax Wrap workshop teaches you to create a fantastic alternative to plastic cling-wrap.

Requirements: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen and insect repellent. Please bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch, as there are no food outlets on site.

Note: Any walks or outside activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
