Drop in and learn more about organic recycling. Find out how to turn kitchen scraps into rich nutrients for your garden. The workshop teaches you benefits and strategies for creating and maintaining organic composting systems.
Requirements: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen and insect repellent. Please bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site.
Note: Walks are subject to weather and environmental conditions. Participants will be notified if the walk is cancelled.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
