Sustainability Day is a free community event being hosted by Hillbrook School. The theme is "Find Local Solutions to Global Problems". Free guest speaker program includes Annette McFarlane, ABC gardening presenter, Assoc Prof Andrew Wilford -Bond Uni School of Sustainability, Richard Sanders - Griffith Ecocentre, Morag Gamble - SEED Int., Cr Peter Matic- Two Million Trees Project and many more. Over 54 market stalls featuring green businesses/groups including Food Connect, Bris Organic Growers, City Chicks etc. Food stalls featuring locally grown/homemade foods. Free entertainment, recycle art activities, rockclimbing and much more. Nature photography competition. Recycling initiatives on the day - bring along unwanted plastic garden pots, unwanted computers/e-waste and unwanted bicycles/parts for recycling. See www.hillbrook.qld.edu.au for more information.
