Event Description

Saturday 17 February 9-4.00pm

Starting a Small Organic Garden

This class is especially for you if you want all the info you need to start your first organic garden in a small space. That includes in pots, raised beds or in a small courtyard.

Growing food at home is rewarding and can be enormously successful, but sometimes we need expert help to get started and iron out any of the tricks before it costs too much. This class will have you starting your own patch the next day, harvesting  in possibly under a month, and never looking back.

What we’ll cover on the day includes site selection, containers, what to fill a pot or raised bed with, special fertilising for small gardens, how to set your space out efficiently, maximising your yields, reducing pests and growing tasty, sweet food.

You’ll be delighted at the empowerment you feel after this full day immersion. You’ll be growing successfully and producing snappingly fresh food for your table from a small space that is abundant and lush.

A delicious morning tea and lunch are included in this class.
