Event Description

Join us for a delicious morning of hands-on bread making – you’ll learn how to make everything from a sourdough starter to your own loaf of bread, and we’ll send you off with everything you need to start baking sourdough at home.

Have you ever wondered about the art of sourdough making but were not sure where to start? Want to learn in a hands on environment to understand the texture of the dough. Have trouble with your sourdough starter and wondered why it may have gone bad.

We invite you to attend this workshop to kick start your sourdough bread making skills and learn in a relaxed and fun environment.

In this workshop you will learn all about:

– Sourdough starter
– Dried sourdough culture
– Quick & easy sourdough bread recipe
– Produce a fruit and nut loaf

This is a hands-on workshop, so bring your apron and prepare to get messy. You will also need to bring a jar for your new sourdough starter and a tin or baking tray to take a loaf of bread home.

During the morning you’ll also be tasting all sorts of other delicious loaves of sourdough.

You will leave this workshop with:

The knowledge and confidence to go home and start baking your own sourdough. You’ll also have a new appreciation of the art of making bread.

You will take home your own starter and a loaf of sourdough to cook at home. So you can share your new talents with friends and family.

About your teacher:

Lizzie Moult has been baking breads for years both yeast and sourdough. She was taught to bake sourdough under Les from Crystal Waters and has since then perfected her own variations and recipes.

What to bring:
