Presentation on Solar Cooking - With Stan and Jane Cajdler.

Stan and Jane will introduce us to the fascinating world of ‘Solar Cooking’ - the various styles and types of cookers, the basic requirements of making your own, introduce other energy efficient non-solar DIY kitchen related devices, sharing their personal experiences and amusing solar stories and most importantly aim to inspire and encourage you to design, build and use your own creations thereby experience first hand the enjoyment and rewards of Solar Cooking in the suburbs.

Morning tea included. Tour of centre or weeding of special gardens.
Corner of Wright St and 1358 Old Cleveland Rd, Carindale.

Much as I would love to attend this workshop I've had a huge exhausting week at work and too much to do here at home (the mowing calleth amongst other things).

Hopefully they will hold this again next year.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
