Event Description

SLOW FOOD BRISBANE

Conscious Consumption - December 6, 11am to 3pm @Wandering Cooks

December 6th, 11am to 3pm. A whole cow, 10+ local producers, a big bbq, sweet treats, juice bar, beer and fine wine, live music and a panel of great speakers. All of this to support Slow Food International projects and OzHarvest's mission.

Slow Food USA has started the Slow Meat campaign, and Slow Food Brisbane wants to support it and bring it to Australia.

Conscious Consumption is the first edition of an event that we intend to host every year, to raise awareness and - most importantly - knowledge and understanding of what is behind the meat industry in Australia and how we can become conscious consumers of good, clean and fair meat. As Slow Food members and supporters, it is important to participate, learn and understand more about farm to fork meat consumption policies.

This first edition of Conscious Consumption is sponsored by Stone & Wood Beer Company and organised in collaboration with OzHarvest.

See the media release below, gather friends and family and come along for a day of fun, good food and good music! Tickets on sale through eventbrite, just follow this link: http://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/conscious-consumption-tickets-13146839551
