Dates: 12 & 13 September 2015

Time: 9am – 4pm each day

Entry: $20 per adult per day; kids under 16 FREE

The Real Food Festival is a joyful celebration of the wonderful variety of food that Sunshine Coast producers, manufacturers, retailers and restaurants have to offer, and a unique opportunity to talk to, taste and buy from them.

With stalls, demonstrations, discussions, hands-on and other activities throughout the weekend, the Festival has something for everyone and is a great way to support the best of Sunshine Coast regional food.

The Festival will feature more than 100 stalls showcasing good local foods and related products.

We went to it a couple of years ago. It's OK, best for beginners to real food or for folks seeking that special something.

Mind you - this event is double the cost of the Samford one to get in to.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
