The Queensland Herb Society
meet on the first Tuesday of
each month except January.
Meetings are held at
The Albion Peace Hall
102 McDonald Rd
Windsor.

Meetings start at 7.30pm

Guest Speaker -  Scott Hinton
Herb of the Month - Nettle

Arrive after 7pm for a 7.30pm start
Browse the Library, herb plants and cuttings table.
Supper at 9pm - bring a plate of herby food to share

Scott Hinton is a past president of the Queensland Herb Society. He will talk about how he got into herbs and became a member of the QHS. He had a Nursery for a number of years-The Best Little Herb House.
He is very entertaining and will be able to answer questions on Herbs from Members .
We have asked him as a Past President as part of our recognizing our 40th Anniversary.
We will hope to continue to Celebrate over the next few months.

VETIVER COMMUNITY PROJECT

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

The Vetiver Community Project is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
