The Queensland Herb Society

meet on the first Tuesday of
each month except January.
Meetings are held at
The Albion Peace Hall
102 McDonald Rd Windsor.

Meetings start at 7.30pm

Our next meeting is Tuesday 2nd May

 
Arrive after 7pm to browse the cutting table, library and members stalls.
Meeting starts at 7.30 pm sharp.
We charge a small entry fee each night: Members $2 and Guests $3.
Your entry fee gives you a ticket in the Lucky Door Prize and $1 Raffle Tickets are also available.
Please bring a plate of herby food to share for supper.    

Tussie Mussies

For those who wish to learn the craft, Elspeth will be making Tussie Mussies from 7pm until the meeting starts to show anyone interested how they are made. In this way you can then feel confident to volunteer for the Tussie Mussie stall at Herb Awareness!.

Herbal Tinctures

Another interactive evening as our very own President and qualified teacher of natural medicine Bettina Schmoll shows us how to make Herbal Tinctu
res and talk about some great uses and benefits.
Herb of the month is Coriander
Herb of the Month will be the International herb of the year Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) presented by 
Cheryle Edwards.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
