Event Description

Saturday September 24th @ 9:30AM - 04:30PM
Come join in on some spring planting fun! The front yard of "chateu-zillmee-eh" is looking really bland and could use some permaculture loving.  We are going to implement a small (6m x 7m) front-yard design. We will be digging up pathways, building up soil and assembling trellises to make the most of the small-ish space. We will also add a couple of ponds for the critters.
This will be a great opportunity to see what can be done in a really small space using permaculture principles and with minimal budget!
Please RSVP to Carola by emailing and let her know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

The Vetiver Community Project is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
