Event Description

City Chicks – Owning Backyard Chickens and Ducks by Ingrid Dimock

Thinking of owning chickens or ducks or already have them?

Learn about the best setup for your yard, the different breeds suiting city backyards, health and feed issues and common problems faced by city chicken and duck owners.

This is a general information session with chickens and ducks brought to the session for participants to see. Natural health products will be available for sale as well as wormwood seeds for natural worming.

Located at 47 Chalcot Road, Anstead near Kenmore, City Chicks is open to the public from 9-12 noon daily and attended by knowledgeable and friendly staff.

City Chicks is a respected hatchery and poultry business in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Sydney and breeds approx 20 different heritage breeds, hybrids and ducklings.

City Chicks is the only Brisbane poultry seller that allows their poultry to have large run areas to be on. No birds are caged in large numbers as is the case in most other operations. We pride ourselves on having a clean happy humane environment for the birds.

Where: Albion Peace Hall, 102 McDonald Road, Windsor
When:  2nd April,  7.30 pm
Cost: Admission is $2 for Members and $4 for Visitors and non-members.
