Thanks for showing us around your garden. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. Seems like the loofahs were the talk of the day!

All the best with the loofah experiments everyone!  Make sure you put some photos up with your end results.

Speaking of photos, I completely forgot to take some during the visit.  Sorry!

Thanks for a great morning Vanessa and Viv.  I've planted the luffa seeds i got from you, hopefully I'll get white fat ones like yours instead of skinny and brown like my previously planted ones :)

The loofas I bought home is half eaten by ants but the seed in side look OK. I have to plant and hopefully I will get some lovely one's like Vanessa.

A very pleasant morning.

Thank you Vanessa :)

I've added your methold to my loofah blog as I have a memory like a sieve with these things. My vine has little fruit on it again so looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks Vanessa and Viv for inviting us to your garden!

Yep, your loofas look pretty amazing.

Thanks everyone for coming.  It was good to meet new members and see catch up with others.  Hope you enjoyed the visit and got some interesting plants and seeds at the same time.

Hope the 'staying upand playing up' stage is only short Vanessa.

Lissa, for the loofas I just wait until they turn brown on the vine (don't leave them too long). Pick them then break off the bottom knobby bit and give it a bash and shake to get most of the seeds out.  Then I peel the skin off and hose out any left over pulp and seeds.  Lastly I balance it on the washing line to dry in the sun.  I think the trick to not having them brown on the inside must be not leaving them on the vine too long after the skin goes brown.

Thank you so much Vanessa and Viv. Lovely morning plus I came home with some real goodies including one of your pumpkins and a beautiful loofah.

Can I get you to describe the method you use to get your loofahs looking so good?
