North Lakes Farmers Market is committed to support local producers, growers, artists and businesses. The market is about so much more than just having a selection of stalls every week. Essentially each stallholder is running a business and that without their success the market will not be successful. With this in mind there are a limited number of stalls selling similar items. North Lakes Farmers Market aims to bring you fresh produce and good quality items, the best of what the region has got to offer all in one convenient location.

I went to Carseldine Mkt this morning. Nice food stalls and some good produce stalls (I would guess not home grown stuff as the cucs are plastic wrapped) but no plant stalls. One dud market is as much as I can take on a weekend but I would like to check out the North Lakes one...we'll see how I feel tomorrow morning ;)

This one has a longish and chequered history. The original farmer's market we went to regularly featured a number of food producers some organic. Or a few months, less and less producers attended. Eventually it became an 'artisan's market' with covered hangers and fancy mirrors. Not surprisingly it all folded 2-3 years ago.

New one started up maybe 12 months ago. First at a school then on top of the main shopping centre. Now it is at a 3rd venue.

I am quite interested to see how it is now if you go Lissa, a report will be very helpful.
