Brisbane City Council is working on a new strategic future plan. They have various consultations where the public can ask any question they like and SUBMIT any suggestion they have. It is very important to
a. keep pushing food issues in general,
b. community gardens (which are very welcome and encouraged but only if incorporated) and
c. Any other issue you may have. E.G, in my case community & shared housing possibilities
It is not hard to put a submission in, essentially it is just a suggestion of what you think would be good.
You can also compliment them on what is working well.
In my opinion someone should put in a submission about community gardens needing to be incorporated and have expenses of about $ 1000.- per year in order to do so, I have seen 2 great initiatives killed by this.
So grab your pen & paper and meet the planner on these dates before meeting the submission deadline of July 29, 2013.
Nathan June 19
Carseldine June 26
St Lucia July 3
Darra July 16
