Event Description

The movie "One man, One cow, One planet "exposes globalisation and the mantra of infinite growth in a finite world for what it really is: an environmental and human disaster. But across India marginal farmers are fighting back. By using biodynamics, they are saving their poisoned lands and exposing the bio-colonialism of multinational corporations. One man, One cow, One planet tells their story through the teachings of an elderly New Zealander many are calling the new Gandhi.

This screening is being shown by 'Weekend Workshops' @ 'Samford Community Tennis Centre hall, Dayboro road, Samford, on Saturday, 28 August between 6.30 and 8.30 pm. Tea and coffee is provided, plus a discussion about biodynamics by Peter Kearney and local climate initiatives by Kirtsen Kennedy from the Pine Rivers Climate Action Network. Normal price is $12.50 with a discount to $10.00 for Cityfood Growers subscribers.
