9am-12pm: Micro Gardening with Lydia Blocksidge
Micro gardening is the practice of utilizing any space around you to intensively grow food. Understanding companion planting in these systems can minimize your energy inputs and maximize your harvest outputs.
Join our nursery coordinator Lydia for this hands-on, interactive workshop as she introduces you to some of her favorite micro-gardening ideas and techniques for the urban gardener. You will look at what micro gardening is, how it works and where you can use it. Lydia will also introduce you to companion planting and will explain some of her favorite companion planting combinations for every season.
If you live in an apartment, have a paved patio and limited space to grow food or if you’re simply interested in learning about how to use any space around you to grow food efficiently, then this workshop is for you.
