Event Description

beeGreetings, and welcome to August.

‘Bee Open Day - Celebrating Bees in the Community.’

To be held on Saturday 10 September, in the fabulous Mary Valley College grounds and hall, in Imbil, Mary Valley. All bees are celebrated on the day - honey bees, stingless native bees, solitary bees - as well as live hives and splits/transfers, pollination, habitat and bee gardens.

...

$2 entry. Starts 10am, finishes at 3, with a fantastic Bee-related day planned between. LOADS of info, sharing, talks involving a huge collection of experts and presenters, stalls, bee-gear and bee-products for sale, displays, honey honey honey, showcasing alternate hive/box designs, fine food, fab on-site coffee van - and a day supporting many local community charities. A day of Care, Share, and Dare to have Fun.

Loads of peripheral/extended stuff as well, with recycling info, native plants for sale, info about beneficial insects, butterflies and micro-bats, alternate pollinators, all the latest on bee-diseases and challenges, active woodworks lathe display, some good stuff to keep kids active, and some great live music.

So come along, support the community, help out the bees, and Bee-Inspired along the way.

Please share/post this information freely around your networks.
