Wild Canary is a botanical bistro nestled in a beautiful garden setting alongside the award winning Brookfield Garden Centre.

We are open 7 days a week from 8.30am to 4.00pm and are fully licensed.

Wild Canary has its own extensive kitchen garden where we grow fragrant herbs, edible flowers and seasonal produce. Early in the mornings and throughout the day, you will find our chefs harvesting what they need for the day’s dishes.

Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Creations from the kitchen headed up by Chef Glen Barratt showcase the diversity of herbs able to be grown in South East Queensland as well as paying homage to the beautiful produce passionately nurtured by farmers with a vision of a sustainable future. Celebration of the agricultural history of the area is predominant with first crops grown locally featuring when in season, as well as using the last of the productive agricultural properties in the area.

The gardens provide a daily source of fresh produce and inspiration for the kitchen menu. Grown organically using permaculture and biodynamic principals, herbs, fruit and vegetables are planted in conjunction and consultation with local farmers supplying the Wild Canary, embracing the seasons and giving a true indication of when produce is available.

Wild Canary wishes to provide an oasis for the community to meet, eat real food and enjoy a beverage in comfortable surroundings.

Enjoy contemporary food in a relaxed environment from our menu of seasonally inspired dishes created using only the best, carefully sourced local and regional ingredients supplemented with edible flowers, fragrant herbs and produce from the our Kitchen Garden.

Our in house pastry chef creates some scrumptious old-fashioned classic cakes plus some seriously good surprises. Please note due to seasonality and the constant changing nature of our menu to reflect this, the menu below is an example only.

From the 6th January through to the 15th February, Wild Canary will welcome acclaimed artist, Betty Searle.

Good for you Susanne! The prices in the nursery were very high but the quality of the plants was also high. I'm used to market prices these days.

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves. I thought I would have more chance for chat but my grandson took up my time.

Lovely lunch, wonderful company and I picked up 2 Greek basil plants for my bees that I was happy to pay for but was given them for free as they said they were getting too large for their pots. Should have picked up the other one there too ;)

Thanks Elaine! Looking forward to visiting this place. I thought we could meet up by 11.30 ready to eat by 12.00. The time we leave is up to how fast the service is and how fast we eat. We will want to have a look around at the gardens and artwork too.
