Starting from scratch and grow your Kitchen garden Living pantry.
Master the skill to grow clean, healthy vegetables.
Course will include:
- Creating a new garden bed using the simple no-dig method.
- Understand the benefits of building good Soil & Fungi
- Start a low cost Worm Farm and brew worm juice
- Plant Seeds & Seedlings and find out seed saving secrets
- Make Natural Pest Controls from house hold scraps
- Mix up Natural Fertilsers and apply them
- Learn simple methods to protect your garden from humid and harsh weather conditions

Gary Hands is the Farmer/Owner of Kookaburra Organics with his wife Paula West. Kookaburra farm is a Organic and sustainable, naturally farmed market garden on the Sunshine Coast,Qld. Kookaburra Organics conducts an online business delivering weekly fresh produce from paddock to plate to S.E Qld. households.
Gary is well known for his expertise in organic growing in both temperate & sub–tropical areas. He is a regular speaker at Garden Clubs, Sustainability Expo's and Organic Food groups. He regularly presents a range of vegetable growing workshops for catering for beginners through to the very experienced gardener. Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
