This going to be quite special, we will be creating the Homegrown Cafe's Kitchen Garden

Limited with time and budget. Mid workshop for just $20.00 per person per session Every Wednesday Grow your Knowledge & Skills

Introduction to growing vegetables.
If you are not sure where to start or not getting the most from your patch, this course we cover ALL you need to know ! Conducted over 5 consecutive (Wednesdays)

Starting 20th July 9.30am 12.30pm (3hrs)
. Starting Point Build a Vegetable garden from Scratch
. Understand the benefits of building good Soil
. Start a low cost Worm Farm and brew worm juice
. Plant Seeds & Seedlings and find out seed saving secrets
. Make Natural Pest Controls from house hold scraps
. Mix up Natural Fertilizers and apply them
. Make compost from garden waste
. Learn how to mulch effectively to reduce water consumption
. Learns the secrets of growing root crops including carrots
. Create strategies for humid and harsh weather conditions. Master planting by the Moon
. and Much more

. Harvest the crops and indulge in feasting on your work

Lise Hay is Kookaburra Organics Australia's expert on soil creation, worm farming, moon planting and loves to see a No Dig Garden built in next to no time. 

Special guest presenter Paula West is the Queen Bee/ Apiarist of Adopt a Beehive.

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
