Event Description

Is your life too plastic?

Australians use over 10 million plastic bags a day - single-use disposable bags that we mindlessly throw away. But where is "away?" Where do the bags and other plastics end up, and at what cost to our environment, marine life and human health?

Bag It follows "everyman" American Jeb Berrier as he navigates our plastic world. Jeb is not a radical environmentalist, but an average man who decides to take a closer look at our cultural love affair with plastics. Jeb's journey in this documentary film starts with simple questions: Are plastic bags really necessary? What are plastic bags made from? What happens to plastic bags after they are discarded?

This film is a fun and informative look at the impact of our plastic world. It will educate and inspire you to make positive changes in your own life!

Before the film, you'll be able to purchase a delicious organic meal provided by 48 Degrees - RAW Cafe, some Buchi Kombucha, check out some healthy and sustainable products and connect with like minded people. After the film we'll have special guest speakers to give you more inspiration and you could win some fantastic prizes by entering our raffle!
