Two workshops held on Sunday 19 & Sunday 26 February

  • Self sufficiency and growing all sorts of seasonal food plants that sustain us well
  • Heirloom vegies with the marvelous flavours our grandparents knew
  • Using natural fertilisers and making herbal ‘teas and tonics’ for the garden
  • Making effective home-made organic pest control
  • How to plan and grow for year-round produce

Excellent hands-on opportunities at these workshops

Yes Scarlett. It is our kitchen. How about that for a 1 day harvest from a suburban back yard!! How is your garden going?

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
