Anyone vaguely interested in Aquaponics will be fascinated by this industrial sized set up of Wayne and Dougs. There are 15000lt of fish pond filled with various fish and a long covered grow area with raised grow beds filled with abundant greens and edible flower plants. The guys are in the process of finding out what grows well - watercress is proving very popular at the moment with the NZ contingent in Australia.
PLEASE BRING A SMALL PLATE OF MORNING TEA TO SHARE. BRING YOUR OWN MUGS. THE GUYS TELL ME THEY ARE SETTING UP AN URN.
PLEASE NOTE: There are about 2kms of unpaved road to traverse. My i30 managed it no trouble.
Our ecologically friendly farm is spread over 32 acres of Queensland farmland, at the foot of the Glass House Mountains. You can find us south of the Sunshine Coast, not far from Beerburrum.
RedClaw Aquatica are now able to offer silver perch, jade perch and yellow belly fingerlings each breeding season.
The fingerlings are spawned on the farm and grown to 5omm for sale for either grow out operations or dam stocking (silver perch and yellow belly only).
Note: they no longer sell the Redclaw crayfish.
We grow chemical free salad greens, herbs, kale and edible flowers.
Everyone is welcome to contact us for product or come to the farm and pick your own straight from the garden.
