This is a free community workshop for all ages.
Connect with the forest in the city. Come along for a day filled with sustainability workshops, talks, crafts, bites, good vibes and good tunes. Hear about keeping city chickens, how to make and maintain your compost or worm farm, or decorate your bring your own vessel and plant a seed. The main purpose of the event is to help Council plant trees, shrubs and other grasses. Free native plants will be there for those who show dedication and commit to putting these seedlings in the ground at home or a friend’s place. You can also connect with Habitat Brisbane, Creek Catchment and other environmental groups to chat about what projects are already being done how you can be more involved locally. You’re encouraged to bring your own nude food picnic lunch, reusable water bottle, hat, sunscreen and sturdy covered shoes. Leave nothing behind except the tree you planted and your positive intentions. Meeting points:
