Event Description

Gardening on the Edge 2016

The Maleny Garden Club Inc. presents Gardening On The Edge 2016 on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th June 2016. at the Maleny Showgrounds from 9 am – 4 pm.  Six country gardens open to the public – each quite different and unique. Come and spend a soothing day on the range and be inspired by our delightful gardens. Experience the unique country charm of Maleny’s Maple Street shops and cafes.  Also visit the Maleny Markets (Sunday  only) at the RSL, Bunya Street, Maleny.

Gardening on the Edge is a Garden Trail and Garden Market providing an opportunity for locals and visitors to the area to see a number of beautiful gardens at the one time and to attend the Garden Market at the Maleny Showgrounds (13 Maleny- Stanley River Road, Maleny).  Something for the serious gardener and those just interested in the beauty of nature.

Tickets:  All 6 gardens – $20;  3 gardens – $12;  1 garden – $5.  Tickets are available at Maleny Showgrounds (and at the gardens).

Garden Market (free entry) – Come and Browse – Plant Stalls (talk to the Experts) – Camellia Flower display – Teas & Lunches  plus the Garden Club’s Produce stall.

This year the Maleny Garden Club through the generosity of its members and other community minded folk in Maleny and surrounding areas is able to present 6 gardens in a garden trail that will be open for inspection over the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June.

The gardens range from small in area, but abundant in planting, to gardens covering 10 acres or more. Using the map, which will be provided when purchasing tickets, the trail is clearly marked out and with plenty of directional signs and should be very easy to find. The trail covers approximately 14kms from Garden #1, taking in the Garden Market at the Maleny Showgrounds and concluding at Garden #6.
