Hi Everyone, I have been a bit quiet lately with the flu and a couple of other issues but all is well and we are looking forward to a great weekend, this weekend.
This is the plan for the week end, You can put in or take out what you want to do.....
We have a house to stay in with Roger & Brenda. We are getting up there on Friday so as Graham & Roger can play golf.
Saturday Morning - Plan to arrive at Susan's around 11 am Saturday (I will send out the address in a moment), Bring something along to share for a lunch. We will bring along a Salad & Bread Rolls.
Then who ever would like to join in are welcome to have dinner at the Theebine Hotel (might be good if we have an idea for numbers to book, so please give an indication if you would like to join us) Sat night.
Sunday Morning - it will be a BBQ Breakfast back at Susan's Place. You will need to bring along Meat to BBQ and anything else you might like. We will take along Sauces & Mustards
Sunday Late Lunch at the old Rick's Garage Café in Palmwoods - Then home.
Can't Wait..Should be a GREAT WEEKEND!!!
Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.
Please bring a small plate of food or drink (you may need to bring more than this but more details will be sent later) to share and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.
It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.
RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.
Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.

Thx Susan. Would be great for Zack and Coby to hangout.
Sounds like an awesome weekend.
I would have my own power and even toilet. We can bring our own drinking water as well as food. Any rubbish returns home with me. If something went wrong, I'd just bugger off to Gympie. LOL.
Hi everyone. Well the driveway is now in so we will be able to get onto the property at least :). I am thinking about around the weekend of the 20th but that is not set in stone yet as I have my 40th to organise. I am more than happy if people want to camp provided you understand how primitive the accomodations are - no water as yet except creek (fine for bathing but not drinking) and no toilet other than our pit latrine. I have solar on the van so if you need to recharge electronics, that should be fine. I will make sure we have plenty of fire wood for a good old campfire that night. We do have a nice little servo/grocery store that is pretty extensive for food/takeaway if you didn’t want to do a cookout and they’re a great little port of call for coffee and breaky in the morning. Becky, zack would love to have your son to hang out with.
In terms of local accommodation, it is fairly limited. There is the Theebine hotel which we love and we might want to do either dinner or lunch there. I think from their website they have about 5 rooms. I’ll have a look what else is available.
Gympie has some gorgeous Sunday morning markets to check out and if weorganise it well, we could think about hitting greenharvest at Maleny on the way up to Glenwood on the Saturday (open every 3rd Saturday from 8 am to 12. ).
It takes about 2hrs 15 min from my place in Wynnum to get there sans traffic.
Hi Dianne and Susan,
After reading Andy's request, camping it for us might be a possibility and more freasible for us too if Paul is well enough and also if it is ok with Susan.
Bye for now,
Becky
Good Morning Becky, No we won't be doing the accommodation side of things that is up to the participants as there is so many different kinds of accommodation and everyone likes something different. I will ask Susan to put in the name of the town that her property is actually in, so you can begin your investigation. There will be plenty of info on the web. Hope you all can make it.
Hey Susan. I'd like to camp on your plot. I intend to be completely self sufficient and off-grid: right down to power, toilet, water and food.
Hi Susan,
Will someone be collating info regarding the accommodation?
Depending on costs, Paul and I (maybe 1 or 5 of my children too) would love to come.
Cheers,
Becky
Looking forward to a more distant visit, I think the area is called Glenwood which is about 40k just north of Gympie.
