Valerie has written a little about her Garden;
Some info about my garden.
We live on a roughly 600m2 flat block in The Gap. I started gardening a few years ago and tried many different methods. My focus has always on gardening with as little town water as possible, while not having a tank.
The main garden at the front of the house has a few veggie beds, some wicking beds some raised and some fully in the ground. We have a few fruit trees, some multigrafts, also coffee, bananas, lychees, some self-seeded passion fruit vines.
I tend to go with nature. If it self seeds, it is where it is meant to be.
After a recent long spell oversee, I had to restart the garden. I am trialling several methods for hanging gardens, such as pipe, kokedamas, and wicking hanging baskets.
In the garden, you will also find a worm farm, chicken and native bees.
I am also an avid cook and baker. We make many things from scratch, from bread to spreads.
There will be 2 activities on offer on March 17. Wax wraps and mini kokedama making.
Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.
Please bring a small plate of food or drink to share and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.
It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.
RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.
Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.
