We're in for a real treat this month, Lyn has invited us to her property at Stanmore (near Woodford).
Some might like to leave a little earlier and visit the incredible Caboolture Markets on the way. They run from dawn to noon but I've always found it best to get to these popular markets no later than 7/7.30 if I want to find a carpark easily.
The terrain at Lyn's is generally flat, no stairs but it can get boggy if it rains.
Lyn's words:
My garden is basically just as many edible plants as I can throw together with a mix of fruit trees, I've lost count but I have probably got 15 to 20 fruit trees. I also have a more formal vege garden. I have a few quail that I keep for eggs. I live on a rural property with cows and horse and a few random guinea fowl. We have a great big dam, great for swimming if anyone is adventurous enough If there is a lot of rain I will have to cancel, we get flooded in here.
Please bring a small plate of food to share for morning tea and any produce, plants or seeds you have spare for sharing or swapping.
Hats, sensible shoes of your choice. Children welcome but must be fully supervised by parents.
If you would like to attend or host a GV, please read IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

Should be fine Valerie, just so we know numbers. Love the fact that all your kids are willing to come along :)
I would have loved to go, but I work every Sunday. I could leave a couple of pepino, cassava or dragon fruit cuttings on verandah if anyone wants them before or after the GV (hubby Bruce, or the grown up kids may be there for some of the day). We live about 2k from the D'Aguilar Hwy (off Mount Mee Rd, D'Aguilar) at Delaneys Creek. I can email address if anyone wants to. I sometimes drop into Caboolture markets on my way to work, it depends how organised I am.
Elaines and Laine - we no longer need to leave so early as we're no longer going via Caboolture to collect plants. Lainie if you could be at my place by 8.45am we'll leave then to collect the Elaines.
Leave a little earlier and visit the Caboolture Markets on the way to Woodford. See Event listing for more details.
No problems, Lissa; will do! Cheers - Lainie.
Absolutely Lainie. It will be good to see you again :)
Can you put my mobile number into your phone 0414 445 581 and PM me yours. Just in case there's any dramas.
Lissa, is that 'one more' for carpooling still available? If so, I'd love to come; I can be at your place by 8.15am, no problems there... Please let me know, and I'll put it in my calendar if still 'a goer'. Ta! Lainie.
Carpooling anyone?
The Elaines' will travel with me as usual but I have room for one more. I will be calling by the open garden at Caboolture first to collect some plants from Josh Van Veen so will be leaving my place at 8.20am to collect the Elaines and swing past Caboolture before heading for Stanmore.
Address has been sent for this Event. Anyone not receiving the message please let me know.
Always add photos using the "From my computer" option, even if you are on a mobile phone or other device.
