Dianne; We have been gardening here for 40 years, when we arrived here ready to garden we were confronted with clay, 100% clay except for some nasty builder's rubble left behind. Well we set to work and had many truck loads of the best Lantana Soil. Our soil is now beautiful, full of worms and just what a gardener wants to grow almost anything in.

Our garden is still undergoing a revamp of the Rose Garden along with the Woodland Garden getting an upgrade. We are also in the middle of preparing a new Fern Garden.

We have many Citrus Trees as well as many Fruit Trees. We have a Vegetable Garden, though we also grow Vegies in other parts of the garden. You will find many Flowering Plants to attract Bees into our space that we call Home. We grow many of our Citrus Trees and Herbs in Clay Pots and find this very successful for us.

We are having the Gardens fully irrigated with an automated system so we can go away and not have to worry about getting others to look after the garden. We have had to have paths ripped up and much vegetation disturbed, so please don't mind the look of some areas.

I have been making Cheese for more that 5 years now and love it, when I get the chance. I love to make Cheese with a Buddy so let me know if you would like a lesson from a non professional, no charge.

Well I hope this has given you an insight into our Gardening Life.

Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.

Please bring a small plate of food or drink to share and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.

It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.

RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.

Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.

Thanks to Dianne and Grahame for a great garden visit. You must have worked so hard to get everything ship  shape again after your irrigation installation. Everything was very impressive. Not a stone out of place!! We didn't exactly need to bring the wellies along after all. You have done so much work since our last garden visit and I will be very keen to see how everything grows with the new watering system in place. Although you definitely did not need the new system in place yesterday as the storm provided a deluge for the plants. It was great to see everyone again and to meet new people. A good turn out and we all enjoyed the great cheeses Dianne so generously provided. Lunch was so good. The cuisine was very impressive and Brenda and I will definitely be going back for more now that we know about K and K's.

I'll be there but not for lunch as I have something else on in the afternoon.

We are really looking forward to seeing the work you have done in your garden, especially all the new plants, the special watering system and also the new experiment in your garden.

We have been to the same restaurant before and we are drooling at the thought of a good austrian style meal.

I'll be there, but will be heading off rather than cafe'ing as I want to catch the Tomato festival. If anyone is based Northside and needs a lift and wants to do same send me a message as I may now have some car space.

Hi, I see that a couple of people have switched from Are Coming to now Maybe or Not at all. I hope it was not because of the Lunch menu as you can even order a salad or Sandwich if that takes your fancy.

This GV was never meant to be a dine out just that a few of us had been there before and decided to go and thought it rude not to invite everyone.

Please do reconsider coming along to the GV as we hope to have a lovely fine day with good gardening friends.

This job is not an easy one to do at times as I am always trying to keep everyone happy and it can be a bit of a struggle. Also please remember that our group members live on both sides of the river, but if you want to see different ways of gardening it can be worth the Sunday Drive.

Hi Dianne,

Brenda and I will be eating at K and K's.

Comment by Dianne Caswell on October 16, 2018 at 20:30

Christa, good thought but I think it best if I do the orders then I know how many people are coming for sure and can give numbers. If some people want to order when they get there it is their choice to do so. Can't wait to see what is in the desert cabinet this time!!!

Comment by Christa on October 16, 2018 at 20:21

Dianne, would you like us to order our main meal by surname - direct by phone, and just order dessert from the cabinet.
