SUNDAY 22 October 10.00AM - 12.00PM
Andy and His Rozie’s Garden Visit: 22 October 2017
10.00 – 10.30: Arrive, meet and introduce yourselves. Someone remind Andy to make sure there is tea, coffee and cold water! (He’ll be all nervous and silly on the day.)
10.30 – 11.00/15-ish: Garden tour. Somebody take photos to share on the web site!
11.15-ish - 11.45: Eat, drink, chat and be merry.
11.45 – 12.15: FREE LESSON: how to make home made booze. This will include a really easy summer wine/cider/beer with your excess fruit. Spirits and liquors are also included. It’s all seriously easy and tastes pretty darn good. (No expertise or brains required – just ask Andy!)
Andy and Rozie's yard is small and flat, although the front driveway has a slight incline (which should be easily managed). There is ample seating and the yard is fully fenced.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS WHILST ON SITE:
Guard dogs Bobbie Cumberland and Benny Beaterbum will bid you with a very loud welcome. Please try not to frighten the little fellows too much or let them out. Whilst Bobbie will probably run and hide, Benny will attempt to lick you to death.
Take care around the attack chooks. They aren't house trained. If the quails don't start laying soon, they may no longer be present on the day.
Try not to put your fingers in the aquaponics tank. The lads tend to be somewhat fiesty in summer - unless they too get eaten, in which case I will only have fingerlings in the tank.
Do not attempt to round up or saddle the compost worms. A stampede could ensue which would be ugly.
Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.
Please bring a along a plate of food or drink to share, and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.
It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.
RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.
