Michael has written up a little about his garden -
I live on a small [420m2] flat block with a 3 bedroom house on it so there is not much room for the garden. As the ground is harder than the middle of the nearby freeway I garden in self-watering pots. Some pots are commercial types and others I have made into self-watering.
There are 31 pots for vegetables and flowers and 27 for fruit trees. My daughter wants a Hibiscus hedge so I am growing a number of cuttings for her. I enjoy propagating from cuttings.
I have 5 varieties of Fig, White Adriatic, Brown Turkey, Conadria Red, Genoa White and Genoa Black. Figs are easy to grow and propagate and have two fruiting seasons a year. As well as the figs there are sub-tropical trees like Grumichama, Jaboticaba, a Peanut butter tree and many more.
The front garden is much as it was when I purchased the house. Except I had half of the garden removed and then found that after breaking my hip I can no longer reach the ground to replant it. I’ll do something about it in winter.
Numbers are limited due to the small space. Currently there is seating for 7 on the back patio, but more can be added. Tea, coffee and cold water will be supplied. I am on the corner opposite a park with BBQ if you wish to picnic after.
Michael will be giving a little talk on the Propagation and Growing of Figs.
PLEASE NOTE - This GV will be limited to the first 12 Members as Michael has limited space available for seating.
Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.
Please bring a small plate of food or drink to share and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell.
It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.
RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.
Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.

Hi ! Is there still space for Susan and I to attend? Cheers x
For those attending it is easiest if you get off the Motorway at exit 138 as my house is not far from Costco and Bunnings at the North end of North Lakes.
Delay? The visit is still two days away! (Thanks Dianne. You set me up beautifully on this one. I owe ya.)
Address has been sent out at 7.14pm. Friday night. Sorry about the delay in sending this but there was a problem with our Server sending out our emails to members thus I rang Andy he rang the Server and at last the problem is fixed.. See you Sunday ...Dianne ph 0407691485
Hi Everyone, Back from China and ready for a big new year of wonderful Garden Visits. There are still months on the calendar for you to join in on hosting your own GV, it's simple just send a Personal email through your BLF Inbox to Dianne with the dates you would like to host.
Michael has asked me to change his date from June to April as June is turning out to be a busy month for him.
Always add photos using the "From my computer" option, even if you are on a mobile phone or other device.
