Event Description

SUNDAY  13th Dec 10.00am TO 12.00pm

This will be a CHRISTMAS PARTY - GV

The address will be sent closer the date. The address is always sent to your email you signed up with, if it is different you will need to change it in your profile

As this may be an event where we need to have particular numbers due to Covid Restrictions, we may need to Limit the number attending. It will be those 1st in to RSVP that will be able to attending, so please be sure you can make it or you may be taking the place of others.

I moved to my current block of 1/2 an acre at 3-5 woodlands ave about 5 years ago. It was a run down house (renovated now) and overgrown garden with large gum trees, silky oaks and palms. I cleared most of the block leaving one ironbark, a lemon myrtle, frangipani and hibiscus. As I started thinking about landscaping I thought 'why not plant something that will give me something back' and so began an endless search for interesting and tasty fruit trees. There is about 130 fruit trees, a small area of veges, chickens, ducks and quail. My wife lets me do what I want as long as it looks tidy which requires never ending work but I love it and most visitors love to wander around amongst the plants. We have a lap pool that people are welcome to cool off in the weather is still warm. Lots of room to park on the street and ignore the bus stop sign as buses do not come here anymore but the council left the seat and sign.

Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.

Please bring a small plate of Festive Food or Drink to share, and any plants, produce or seed that you would like to share, swap or sell. Also if you would like to bring along a small gift to swap please do so. If you are bringing children you may like to bring one for them as well

It won't be necessary to bring chairs to this GV as Doug has plenty, unless you prefer to use your own.It is always a good idea to bring along a chair as we do sometimes have more visitors than chairs available at GV gardens.

RSVP required so that the address can be sent to you closer to the date. The email address you nominated when you joined will be used. Please update this if it has changed.

Late attendees welcome. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 on the day for the address.

Sorry. I won't be able to make it in the end. I have a bunch of very happy tired kids over from a sleepover and a lot of cleanup.

Looking forward to the catch up, bring the brollies for the walk around. Have plenty of spots to get out of the rain. Quail just started hatching so plenty of little fluff balls to pat!

1. Weather won't be a problem - Doug has plenty of under cover space.

2. Sending out the address early caused heaps of issues.  I asked Dianne to wait until the day before.

3. Bloody hell.  I am looking so forward to getting together!!

Hi All, I will be sending out the address tomorrow . This had been agreed to at the beginning of the year due to the fact there were so many people who had not made up their minds until the Saturday.

Not yet Valerie.  I might try to talk to Doug tomorrow about the expected weather.
