Event Description

Presented by Anne Gibson, in this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Develop a toolkit of resources and strategies to grow a highly productive edible garden without expensive inputs;
  • Grow your own garden supplies;
  • Grow plants that earn their place in your garden by providing high value (save or make you money; are multi-functional; long lasting and tummy fillers); and
  • Make your own (MYO) supplies from household waste and free or low cost resources.

Fun and interactive, the workshop includes practical hands-on sessions, take home samples and notes.

It is advisable to bring a hat and water bottle with you on the day, as well as pen and paper for taking notes.

This is a free workshop and bookings are NOT required. For more information, email: anne[at] themicrogardener.com.  If you can't attend the event but would still like to know more about frugal gardening, visit The Micro Gardener website.

I've pencilled the 7th into the calendar. It's also my sister birthday lol, but I'm sure she'll understand me going to a workshop instead!

Garden is going great guns. Wish I had a bigger piece of land so I could actually keep myself (and family) supplied with veg all year round. Learning all the time so workshops like yours are invaluable.

No worries Lissa ... it gets a bit hectic at the end of the year.  Look forward to meeting one day!  This is my last workshop for the year and the final one until 7 January 2012 at Yandina Community Gardens.  They will have a packed calendar next year so plenty more opportunities.

How's your garden going?

Sounds interesting Anne and I haven't been to Yandina at all this year, but it's the same day as a Xmas party for me.
