The Yeronga Bushcare Group (Habitat Brisbane) is restoring native habitat along the Brisbane River. So far, around 500 plants have been planted. Our next working bee is about establishing a butterfly habitat and how to encourage butterflies to this area and suburban gardens, including the value of butterflies, practical tips and advice, a short, guided walk of the riverbank area, and planting species to attract butterflies.
Contact us by email yfbc@googlegroups.com or check our https://www.facebook.com/YerongaBushcare/ ;
Guest speaker: Helen Schwencke is an expert on establishing gardens for our native butterflies in backyards and in bushland. http://www.earthling.com.au/

Were I still living in the area, I would have loved to attend :-\
If it wasn't my Cheesemaking weekend I would have loved to attend your morning. I am very interested in both the restoring of habitat and attracting Butterflies to my garden.
