Event Description

SUNDAY JULY 9th 11.00am TO ? 2.00pm

EPICURIOUS GARDEN & LUNCH AT ARBOUR VIEWS CAFE'S SOUTH BANK

Transport to the Parklands can either be by Car, Ferry, Trains or Buses, I am sure you will find the most suitable transport for the outing.

The Epicurious Garden is a must-visit destination at South Bank for foodies, gardening enthusiasts and all those in-between.
Head along to explore the garden’s exquisite plant life and see what fresh produce looks, feels and smells like. All produce in the garden is organic, and is rotated seasonally throughout the year.

To see where the Epicurious Garden is located, check out the South Bank map.

After our visit we will then head on over to the Arbour Cafe's for lunch.

The Arbour View Cafes are a relaxing spot in the heart of the parklands. Head along to grab a drink or a bite to eat while watching the world go by. There are many different Cafe's to choose from. I am sure you will find something that takes your fancy & wallet for lunch.

After lunch you may like to take a ferry ride or meander around the remainder of the Parklands.

Children welcome but must be supervised by parents at all times.

RSVP required so as we have an idea of numbers, and don't go off to Lunch without anyone.

If you are running late please let me know and we may be able to wait to go to lunch, we would not want to go without you. Message Dianne or phone 0407691485 if you are running late.

We had a lovely day at Epicurious and it was an added bonus to go to the French Festival.

Here are some photos from the day.

Sounds marvellous!

A lovely easy day in the winter sunshine  studying the various fruits and veges and herbs being grown was very enjoyable. We nibbled many of the offerings and Roger took home a cutting of Kumara. We had a tasty lunch, and then decided to visit the French Festival, and we soon regretted having had lunch as we had very little space left for any of the French delicacies on offer. We did manage to scoff down a melted cheese and potato dish between us though. It was oh la la!

Roger also couldn't resist some hot chestnuts, which took him back to his childhood, Thanks to Dianne and Graham for your organisation and companionship.

Enjoy your lunch folks. Hope the day is as beautiful as today was. We have visitors from overseas with us at the moment and will be headed down to the coast with them.

Sorry unable to attend, Dianne, with a son in bed sick and other half starting sneezing, looks like I am the runner.

This event snuck up on me and I never did work out how to get there. Anyway ... have a wonderful day and a few pix would be great!

Looking Forward to tomorrow, should be a nice day. Graham and I are getting the train in, I need to walk more. It is also the French Festival tomorrow.

Are there anymore members coming along, it would be lovely if you can. We will meet at the  Epicurious Garden at 11am.

Dianne,  this map HERE  shows how close the City Hopper Ferry stop is to the epicurious garden.  New Farm, Sydney Street terminal, would be the best in my books to park, if possible.
