Event Description

Bruce Molloy

9.30 am

In this fun and interactive workshop with hands-on activities and take-home notes to get you started, Bruce Molloy from Edible Landscapes will give you an overview of permaculture principles and how they relate to your home and community.  You will discover the secret ingredients for creating the ultimate sustainable food garden, with lots of money saving and sustainability tips for producing an abundance of fresh, nutrient dense veggies, herbs and fruits for you and your family.  Maintenance and pest management systems that will save you time and heartache will also be covered and Bruce will give you design ideas to make the most of your garden, resources and time – how to use every nook and cranny to create your very own beautiful and delicious edible landscape.

These FREE events and workshops are open to everyone in the community, not just members and volunteers at the Gardens and there is no need to book a place  - unless otherwise indicated for that particular workshop.  As the Gardens strive to be more sustainable, we no longer offer printed handouts at our workshops; where practicable and with the permission of the presenter, we will upload the handout information as a pdf  so that those attending the workshop can download the information and bring it along. Therefore, it is advisable to bring along a notepad and pen for taking notes, as well as a hat, sunscreen and your water bottle. If the workshop involves a food demonstration, we also ask that you bring along a small bowl and spoon for food tastings. For more information or to be included on our mail-out list for workshop reminders, please contact us at Email:
