Tuesday, 19 July - Cob Oven Cooking Workshop & Farm Tour.  9.30am – 11.30am.

Prepare the food and take a guided tour of the community farm while your food is cooking in the cob oven.

Walking tour of the farm included.

This workshop is part of BCC’s GOLD (Growing Old Living Dangerously) program so you need to be over 50 to attend.

Cost $4 and bookings essential.

Beelarong Community Farm, corner of Beverley and York Streets, Morningside, Brisbane.

:) Daniel I'm pretty sure Northey St run cob oven workshops occasionally - check http://www.nscf.org.au/?page_id=6#workshops they have one on the 30th July in Fairfield - although it costs $85 :(

 

Cob Oven Building. Saturday 30 July. 9 am to 5 pm. Learn how to build a versatile, efficient earth oven for baking, roasting, and even oven-drying foods. During this hands-on workshop we will actually build an oven – Book your place now. Cost: $85 full-fee, $65 concession.

Note: Workshop site now confirmed at Fairfield.

Daniel, doubt they'll ask for ID... maybe you could have a really bit night the night before, put talc in your hair and stoop a bit lol.  Some days I swear I feel like I'm over 50!

lol Beryl - my body is 50ish but my head is stuck in my 30's and won't acknowlege the years a-passing.

We will be there, as our bodies are 60s' - our hearts are 20s. Daniel must be of age as he fought at Jericho - and yes Lissa - you sure still got a way with words.

GrowVetiver

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
