Friends of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens and Sherwood Arboretum, along with heirloom seed champions, The Diggers Foundation, are delighted to announce they are joining forces to host the first Brisbane Tomato Festival at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. All things tomato will be on the menu with food stalls and produce sales and featured talks and demonstrations on the speaker's stage at this wonderful free two-day event.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
