Event Description

Saturday 27th February 2016

10am – 12pm: Botanical Fibre Papermaking – with Lesa Hepburn

Recycling your household paper waste can be a satisfying & cost effective way to upcycle & create handmade gifts for you & your friends. Participants can learn how to prepare your pulp & what waste paper to use. Equipment & materials can be sourced from waste retailers & op shops. In this workshop you will use a mould & deckle to pull sheets of paper to take home on the day. Botanical prepared leaves & fibre will be added to recycled pulp to create textured surfaces for note paper & cards. Bring along some items to emboss to leave an impression in your paper.

Please bring a notebook and pen, and something to carry your work home on – a clipboard or tray is best, but some cardboard will work.

Please note there is a $10 materials fee, payable on the day.

Cost: $50 / $35 (Healthcare Card holder) + $10 materials fee payable on the day
