Event Description

I would like to ask for some help please.

One of our BLF members has been a tad under the weather and unable to garden for a while.  I'm offering (No, my Rosie did NOT make me!!!) to help in her restore her beautiful garden. This is a garden which quite a few of us have visited and enjoyed.

In return, she has offered to provide food and drinks.  Quite a few of us have also scoffed her culinary delights!!!

Please let me know if you can come help too, by either hitting the "attend" button or by sending me a text (you can even call, if you'd like!).

I've done a quick search and I believe this is our first ever "help a friend" request and potentially a real community builder for us.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it today but I'm sure this first garden rescue won't be the last. Always more to do..

Thanks Roger - I think we are mostly taming the overgrowth.

I can help for a couple of hours, from 9 til 11. I am helping my daughter move house as well, so early is the only option. I can possibly get some forest type mulch if this will help. Let me know if this is wanted, I will bring a trailer load, and wheel barrow. Do we also want seedlings, or seeds? Or are we just taming the overgrown?

All help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks Susan!

And yes, even helping for half an hour would be great.

Yes great idea - always nice to help somebody in need.

Unfortunately all my recent time and effort has been used helping a family member (unfortunate circumstance for him) and thus I cannot commit to helping out and may not have the energy even if I have the time. Pity it wasn't closer. Perhaps people who live in SW Brisbane can spend an hour or two if they don't want to commit for the whole day?

Terrific idea Andy :)

What do envisage needs to be done on the day?

I have a visitor here that day so won't be able to attend but wish you all the best of luck and have a fun day.

What a wonderful idea! I'm hoping that a lot of younger members will rock up to help. The food is legendary so I hear :-)

Please help, members - this is a 'permablitz' without the 'perma' ;-)
