Event Description

It’s Black Friday, and there’s no better day to be sneaking around the garden exploring mysterious herbs and sensational smells.
Take the explorers challenge on a trail that has you discovering weird, wonderful and totally wild herbs.
Find out what repels wizards if you’re a Potter fan, how to make cats go all soft and soppy and lots more, all using herbs.

You’ll get the chance to start your own herb garden to take home and you’ll make a mystery snack for yourself.
This is a Chill Out session for 10-17 year olds, supported by Brisbane City Council.
Cost $4 per child

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
